Description

First of all, we would like to thank all proponents for submitting the experiment proposals for the upcoming LHD experiment campaign. We are now making the FY2025 LHD Research Forum program based on the submitted proposals.

1)    Session Groups

Each session group of your first choice will be responsible for a presentation at the Forum.

SG1: Equilibrium & instability

SG2: Transport

SG3: Plasma start-up & heating physics

SG4: Energetic particle physics

SG5: Multiphase physics

SG6: Atomic & molecular physics

2)    Important notices on presentation

l  Each proposal requiring the LHD experiment time must be explained by the proponent and discussed in the forum.

l  The presentation of each proposal should mention the following aspects.

How does it conclude the results of previous experiments and bring academic achievements that show clear progress?

How does it make the POST-LHD project more compelling to realize?

How does it articulate new developments and challenges in fusion science?

How is it an outstanding and highly interdisciplinary proposal?

l  Allocated time

      1 proposal by 1 proponent: 4-min presentation + 4-min Q&A.

      2 proposals by 1 proponent: 7-min presentation + 6-min Q&A in total.

      3 proposals by 1 proponent: 10-min presentation + 8-min Q&A in total.

      4 proposals by 1 proponent: 13-min presentation + 10-min Q&A in total.

      5 proposals by 1 proponent: 16-min presentation + 12-min Q&A in total.

      6 proposals by 1 proponent: 19-min presentation + 14-min Q&A in total.

      7 proposals by 1 proponent: 22-min presentation + 16-min Q&A in total.
